With the Wandsbek Karee shopping centre, a strong transport system and diverse mix, Wandsbekermarktstrasse is more than just the centre of a district centre with local shops. Wandsbeker Marktstrasse is a very busy arterial road leading northwards of Hamburg. The former C&A store at n°1 was remodelled by HBB to accomodate the12.000 sqm W1 shopping centre, including a 3.500 sqm Rewe supermarket, Decathlon on 4.000 sqm and DM on 800 sqm in September 2016. In 2015, the KGAL Group acquired the project from HBB.
