Apart from the quite recent arrival of FNAC, which shares a building with C&A, this pedestrian street has not changed much over the last few years, and is now virtually in a state of regression similar to that of Rua Augusta in Lisbon. Around the Via Catarina shopping centre set up by Sonae, the arrival of new stores has however added a degree of dynamism. Among the latest openings : Ale Hop, Inside, Tezenis (which took over the Mango store).
