Calle Castillo

Calle Castillo is the only shopping street of Santa Cruz. Pedestrian, it begins on the harbour where are landing the tourists. Because of the special VAT applied in the Canarias (4 %), electronics products and perfumes are particulary sought after by them. Calle Castillo used to be mainly occupied by electronics and optics stores (generally managed by Indian people). But since the arrival of retail chains like Mango, Zara, Desigual, Promod, H&M or New Yorker its commercial profile is now similar to any Spanish shopping streets.
Unica calle comercial de Santa Cruz. Peatonal, saliendo del puerto donde los barcos de turistas desenbarcan un publico comprador de electronics y perfumes (barato por el nivel de IVA local : el IGIC 4%). Ahora tiene la calle una oferta comercial similar a cualquier otra ciudad Espanola
