Karlsuhe´s main shopping-street is 2km long. Here all categories of retailing are present, International chains as well as local retailers. In the northern part of this street, the main focus is on the big department store Breuninger and on the shopping-centre Postgalerie with its anchors Sportarena/Kaufhof and other life-style retailers. Around the market-place the anchor is C&A. Further on, in the southern area of the street, food and restaurants play a more important part regarding the streetscape. At Kaiserstrasse, there is a tram-hub. Kaiserstrasse itself is well provided by tram-stops. 5 minutes by feet from Kaiserstrasse, is located the 43.000 sqm ECE-shopping-centre "Ettlinger-Tor". The building at n° 70-74 was redeveloped by Newport under the name of "Kaiser Karree"and now accomodates Zara Home and 1982. Saturn left the Post Galerie to relocate at n°146-148.

In Marktplatz-Nähe ist der Anker C&A. Im südlichen Teil dieser Strasse erhöht sich Anteil des Food-Bereiches. Direkt an der Kaiserstrasse liegt ein S-Bahn Verkehrsknotenpunkt. Auch die Kaiserstrasse selbst ist mit vielen Haltestellen versorgt. 5 Fußminuten von der Kaiserstrasse entsteht das 43.000 qm grosse Shopping-Center „Ettlinger Tor“ der ECE.
