Adalbertstrasse

Adalbertstrasse is the main shopping zone of Aachen. National and international chains are setting the best locations around the western area near to the centre. Galeria Kaufhof is here the anchor. Further on towards east, there is a mixture of retailing with department stores in the majority. Here Strauss Innovation played an important role (until its closing in 2014). Among the latest arrivals : New Yorker on 2.240 sqm (ex Woolworth), Görtz (2.200 sqm) and Fielmann (650 sqm). The street will certainly benefit from the opening of the Aquis Plaza shopping centre.
Die Adalbertstr. ist die Haupteinkaufsstrasse von Aachen. Die 1a-Lage im westlichen Teil der Strasse, in Richtung Zentrum, ist mit den bekannten nationalen und internationelen Filialisten besetzt. Galeria Kaufhof is hier das Kundenmagnet. Weiter östlich ein gibt es einen Händlermix, wobei Kaufhäuser stark vertreten sind. In diesem Bereich war Strauss Innovation der Anker (bis zur Schliessung 2014).
