- This project received planning permission in January 2002, and relates to the transfer/enlargement of the Géant Limoges (Casseaux). Around a 10.000 sqm Géant Hypermarket and a Casino cafeteria, the construction of a shopping arcade of 30 to 35 stores was planned (3,500 sqm), complemented by five medium-sized stores (5.000 sqm). Located next to the A20, south of the town in the municipality of Feytiat, near the municipal golf course and opposite a business park which includes such stores as Conforama, it would have competed directly with the Carrefour Boisseuil commercial hub, located further to the south (less than 5 minutes away via the A20). Its opening was scheduled for 2007 and the Casseaux Géant converted into a local supermarket. But the CDEC authorization was canceled by the court. The appeal court confirmed this decision in april 2008 and the project seemed definitely "frozen" but things can change with the new French law on retail development.
- Ce projet qui avait obtenu une CDEC favorable en janvier 2002 portait sur le transfert/ -agrandissement du Géant Casseaux. Autour d'un hypermarché Géant de 10000 m2 et d'une cafétéria Casino (1500 m2), était prévue la création d'une galerie marchande de 30 à 35 boutiques (3500 m2) complétée par 5 moyennes surfaces (5000 m2). Il se situait au sud de la ville, sur la commune de Feytiat, en bordure de l'A20, à proximité du golf municipal et face à une zone d'activités incluant notamment Conforama. Il aurait concurrencé directement le pôle commercial Carrefour Boisseuil situé plus au sud (à moins de 5 mn par l'A20). Son ouverture était prévue en 2007, et Géant Casseaux transformé en supermarché de proximité. Mais l'autorisation CDEC a été annulée par le tribunal administratif et cette decision a été confirmée par le Conseil d'Etat en avril 2008. Ce projet semblait désormais définitivement "gelé" mais la nouvelle loi sur les CDAC pourrait changer la donne.
