  • Cardiff is the capital of Wales and has a growing catchment population with a bias towards younger age groups. There is a £2.5 billion retail spend within a 30 minute drivetime. Queen Street is the prime shopping street in the city where several large space users are sited including Marks & Spencer, Next, Dixons, Boots and WHSmith. Howells (House of Fraser) is located off pitch, as is David Morgans department store, which is the subject of a redevelopment scheme. The recently renovated and expanded St David’s Centre is the new major retail spot downtown Cardiff. Many national and international brands open there their first unit in Wales.
