Despite the existing peripherical facilities, the town centre of Angers (which is Maine & Loire prefecture) has been able to secure its customer base slighly better than other ones. The very core of the commercial centre is mainly concentrated between its two main streets, rue Saint Aubin and Rue Lenepveu. But in the pedestrian zone, some streets (like the rue des Poeliers with its little upper- range hub) have an interesting evolution. The opening of the "Fleur d'Eau" still reinforces the attractiveness of the town centre with new anchors like Saturn and H&M. The Espace Anjou SC and Carrefour Grand Maine SC are the largest hubs in the Angers outskirts. The projects of transfer/extension of Rive Sud shopping centre (to the south) and Carrefour Saint Serge (to the north) seem currently frozen.
Malgré les pôles périphériques existants, le centre ville d'Angers, préfecture du Maine et Loire, a su sensiblement mieux fixer sa clientèle que d'autres. L'hyper centre ville commercial se concentre essentiellement entre ses deux rues principales, rue Saint Aubin et rue Lenepveu. Dans la zone piétonnes, quelques rues (comme la rue des Poêliers et son petit pôle haut de gamme) connaissent une évolution intéressante. L'ouverture de "Fleur d'Eau" renforce l'attractivité du centre ville avec de nouvelles locomotives comme Saturn et H&M. Le SC "Centre Anjou" et le SC Carrefour Grand Maine sont les plus grands pôles de périphérie. Les projets de transfert extension du centre commercial Rive Sud (au sud) et du Carrefour Saint Serge (au nord) semblent pour l'instant gelés.
